Super Simple BBQ Chicken: 3 ingredient ease

You can still have barbecued chicken if you don’t own a grill. You can get the sticky, gooey sauce on top like it came off the grill. You don’t even have to leave your kitchen!  This is a great dinner if you don’t have a lot of prep time and people to feed.

3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, defrosted and fat trimmed (adjust according to need)
Water
Barbecue Sauce

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a deep baking pan, place chicken and cover with water and 1/2 cup of sauce. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 minutes (longer for really thick pieces). Remove from oven, turn oven from bake to broil. Drain water from pan and cover chicken generously with sauce. Return to oven for 5 minutes on high on lower rack, (do no replace foil) or 10 on low on upper rack (or to desired sauce “stickiness”). Serve with sides.


Served here with white cheddar potato loaf and garlic pepper green beans.
